Web Of Sunsets: “Fool’s Melodies”
Chris Rose has been busy. In addition to recently planning his debut solo full length as Robust Worlds, he is also currently a member of Sativa Flats as well as Heavy Deeds. And now new trio Web of Sunsets too, apparently – Rose, fellow Heavy Deeds member Sara Bischoff as well as Is/Is/Gospel Gossip’s Sara Nienaber recently recorded their first tune as a brand new group (at Neil Weir’s Old Blackberry Way Studio). They recently put “Fools’ Melodies” up on a new bandcamp page – a dreamy country-inflected tune that features Bischoff’s woebegone vocals over Rose and Nienaber’s guitars. While both guitarists are already pretty well known for their skill, “Fools Melodies” may do more to hip folks to what a lovely singing voice Bischoff has – here she affects a sort of breathy, Hope Sandoval-esqe charm that is both melancholy as well as inviting.
