Guante & Big Cats: “To Young Leaders”
If you are getting a little tired of listening to politicians’ talking points, come election day refresh your ears with Guante & Big Cats’ newest record You Better Weaponize. The record will be available on November 6th, (via Strange Famous Records) and hopefully it will be the third best thing to happen that day (after the defeat of the marriage and voter ID amendments). Single “To Young Leaders” recently dropped, and its the perfect teaser for the highly volatile, highly political album (and I mean both of those things in the best way possible). Guante’s lyrical ability is on full display (I am a big fan of his flipping the classic Shakespeare quote in the line “Every mic is a magic wand / And all the stage is a world”) and Big Cats!’ beats are sounding damn good. This is going to be one of the best records to come out this year so pre-order your copy today and make sure to head out to the Vote No Squared event on October 23rd to hear it live (and to support a good cause).
