Lindstrom & Todd Terje “Lanzarote”
I think the thing I like/respect most about space-disco adventurer Lindstrom is that he takes a genre of music that can so easily be done poorly (wide eyed, dancefloor ready synth jams) and not only avoids the common pitfalls of others, but consistently outdoes himself and keeps raising the bar. After releasing the stunning Smalhaus in the later half 2012, he is back for a collab track with Toff Terje on an eight and a half minute sonic explosion called “Lanzarote.” The song is an exuberant, life affirming example of the power of Lindstrom and could serve as a jumping off point for a colorful headphone zone-out or as your choice pick next time you DJ the beaches of Ibiza.
