Dada Trash Collage “Can’t Pause People” (Show tonight at KCK)
We have been fans of (former) Minneapolis dude Dada Trash Collage (William Freed) for a while now, so we were excited to see he has a new LP out and was swinging through our fair city for a show. His new LP Can’t Pause People expands out his twitchy, Panda Bear referencing sound and stretches it out into wonked out pop, noise excursions and Flying Lotus-esqe patchwork quilts of sound. The tracks range from the world weary “Do My Worst” to the epic, doomsday glitch of “Comes Out Right.” Even from his first homemade CD’s (which were housed in really awesome homemade cases), Freed has never shied away from larger than life sounds, and Can’t Pause People is as gigantic sounding and wide eyed as ever. See him tonight for free at the Kitty Cat Klub with Farms, who are a blown out electronic dup comprised of Vacation Dad and Merlin Monroe. Watch a video below for the duo to get a taste of what they are up to. Should be a great show. Pick up the new Dada Trash Collage LP at the show or click through on the bandcamp link and grab the 12″ straight from the source.
