Destruction Unit “The World on Drugs”
Looking for some grinding post-hardcore to start off your week? Destruction Unit are new to me, but they come with the backing of the Sacred Bones Records stamp of approval, which is a quick way to get a lot of attention in my world. Their lead single is “The World on Drugs,” a song that would fit in with our cities AmRep historical cannon, all buzzsaw guitars riding a pummeling rhythm section that comes crashing through your speakers. The track is loud and abrasive, yet upon multiple listens, a great song is clearly hiding underneath the fire and brimstone. Destruction Unit live up to their name and are a band who I think are going to be getting a lot of attention in the coming months.
