William Tyler “Cadillac Desert” (Show TONIGHT at the Cedar)

Lots of folks are pumped to see Califone tonight at the Cedar Cultural Center, but I’m more excited to see the opener, William Tyler. In 2013 he released the outstanding Impossible Truth, adding a layer of depth to his solo acoustic material without losing the rustic, John Fahey-esqe charm that few, if any, are doing better these days. Seeing his warm folk arrangements on a freezing cold night at the Cedar in Minneapolis sounds just about perfect right now.
