Extreme Noise Records: 20 Year Anniversary Celebration

Extreme Noise 20 year anniversaryThat venerable South Minneapolis Punk Rock institution Extreme Noise Records just announced that they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this year.  There will be three (!) weekends of events, the first occurring in April, the second in June, and the last in October. These will include live music (including lineups of some of the best punk/diy/hardcore bands from the Twin Cities’ history) parties, a record swap, and many other events TBA. 1st:

Part 1, on April 4th & 5th will celebrate the mid-90s Twin Cities scene from which Extreme Noise was born, and was featured on the No Slow All Go compilation. Bands playing were all featured on the 1996 compilation, including…

Friday the 4th will be an anniversary party featuring catered food and cake, DJs, giveaways, raffles, the release of a commemorative zine, and performances by Oswald Armageddon and Code 13.

On Friday, we are also happy to announce that Patti Rhodes will be showing her documentary, “When We Play For Real”, about the 90s Twin Cities punk scene and doing a Q&A after the showing.

Saturday the 5th will be a blockbuster of a show featuring the remaining 8 bands, giveaways, raffles, and more!

Tickets will go on sale at the end of the month, and will only be available at Extreme Noise and The Triple Rock. $25 package tickets (for both nights) will be available at this time and while supplies last. Individual tickets may be available later, if there are remaining tickets.

2nd:

Part 2, on June 21st & 22nd will be in the Memory Lanes parking lot in a large tent. There will be a record swap prior to the Saturday show, and lots of other events and activities are in the works. There will also be after-shows at Memory Lanes and The Hexagon.
