(Flashback Friday) Stream: William Onyeabor documentary “Fantastic Man”
One of the best reissues of 2013 was the rollicking Who is William Onyeabor, a collection of long lost tracks from Nigerian afro-synth master William Onyeabor, released by David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label. Whether you have heard the album or not (if you haven’t, you should), above you can watch a 30 minute Noisy documentary about what happened to Onyeabor that saw the once prodigious artist fall off the musical landscape. It is an interesting movie that only adds to the mystique surrounding this timeless artists.
