New Daughters of the Sun = Awesome. It is almost a Pavlovian response at this point, but it hasn’t proved wrong so far. After a long hiatus, the (somewhat) Minneapolis based trio are back with their gritty, acid-fried psych adventures. As always, it is a bit jammy, a bit hazy and altogether wrapped in a warm & fuzzy blanket of trippy atmospherics. The song comes from their forthcoming Not Not Fun LP of the same name, which was mastered by the legendary Sonic Boom of Spaceman 3. The video above was created by Food Pyramid/Beat Detectives/Dreamweapon member Chris Hontos, for another added dimension of cool. If you aren’t already 100% sold and watching the video above, I’ve got nothing for you.
