Sophia Eris (Feat. Prophis): “Dust”
There’s an exciting local show happening this Friday at First Avenue – New Space is a showcase of some of the local scene’s most talented rap/hip hop crop. To celebrate the show, co-sponsor (and occasional Reviler contributor) Sound Verite teamed up with DJ Just Nine to put out a sampler album of the artists featured in the show. The mix CD, titled Moon Rock Vol. 1,will be given away free to the first 200 people to walk in First Avenue’s doors on Friday. And there is a lot of great stuff included on it – Greg Grease, Polica, Muja Messiah, Aby Wolf, and more! The tune I have been coming back to though is Sophia Eris’s “Dust” (featuring production by Prophis) which pairs a sultry jazz beat with Eris’s rapping/singing.
