Halasan Bazar & Tara King th. “8” LP teaser video
We are already in eternal debt for the fact that Moon Glyph brought Halasan Bazar and Tara King th. into our stereos with their outstanding MG released cassettes, but now they are taking it a step further, bringing us these two outstanding bands on one collaborative LP titled 8. If you aren’t familiar, Tara King th. are a baroque psych-pop band from Paris who glide along on clouds of Stereolab influenced bliss on the waves of ornamented instrumentation and alluring vocals, releasing two cassettes over the last few years that have blown us away. Halasan Bazar are from Denmark and make bearded, blissful, AM Gold influenced psych pop that marches forward, often with jangly guitars and well-placed tambourine, under a hazy cloud of perpetually rich melodies. Together? We can only imagine some pretty outstanding results, especially when teased with this short video of the groups in the studio. Promising an “Oct 2014” release of their combined work, we won’t have to wait long to hear the new LP. While you’re waiting, work your way backwards through both groups work on their own releases and on various comps (including the outstanding free Moon Glyph comp Opal Tapes) so you can join us in being incredibly excited for this forthcoming LP.
