Video: Mrs. “Cave”
Need a quirky video for your Monday? Well, we have a treat for you. Following the release of their debut recording a little while back, local trio Mrs. are releasing a video for the song “Cave,” which you can soak in right above these words. The abstract song meets it match with this abstract, everything-and-the-kitchen-sink video. The song is minimalist noise, a ragged, at times solo, drum beat guiding forward the angular bass and guitar. It slowly builds towards it meltdown at the end, giving the listener the sonic explosion that they didn’t even know they wanted. No word on if this is a prequel to a record, but it seems like you can catch the band around town at your neighbors house or the Hexagon about once a week, so feel free to ask them when you go see their shows.
