Filthy Huns “Fake Ass Muthas”
I was pretty damn happy to get a new Daughters of the Sun LP this summer, but now for fall we get a bonus from DOTH guitarist Nick Koenig’s side project Filthy Huns. We were big fans of his tapes last year, and are stoked to hit the (metaphorical)road with his latest burners, out now on Not Not Fun. While DOTS are kings at making gritty, street-ready kraut jams, Koenig uses his side project to strip that sound to the bone, leaving minimal beats, broken-speaker bass lines and wobbly guitar lines to ooze forward.
