Any doubts lingering around Allan Kingdom’s ability to continue making boundry-pushing rap music should be about put to bed at this point. Spread out over the last year or so, Kingdom has proven wise beyond his years, melding warm and soulful hooks with his decisive rhymes. As always, the production is crisp and forward-looking, with no mind paid to commercial appeal. Despite his “doing this my way” ethos, he seems destined for greater attention and wider fame in 2015, and it couldn’t be more richly deserved.
