Mikal Cronin “Made My Mind Up”
As he has continued to play bass in the Ty Segall band, Mikal Cronin has carved out a niche as the longer-haired, more poppy, less fuzzy and not nearly as alternative to Segall. Where Segall is scuzzy, Cronin is shiny and bright, wrapped in about 14 less layers of fuzz. He will be releasing his third LP, titled MCIII, on May 5th, and he is previewing the album with the spry, warm, classic rock sounding “Made My Mind Up.” There even is a short piano interlude.
