Flashback Friday: Searing, ramshackle garage from pre-Thee Oh Sees band Coachwhips
Thee Oh Sees are rightfully placed among the upper echelon of noisy garage punks, but before John Dwyer became (kind of) famous via Castle Face Records and the white knuckle minimalism from his Oh Sees work, he was in an equally awesome band named Coachwhips. They are reissuing their back catalog, and the latest to get the spit polish is Bangers vs. Fuckers, highlighting the fuzzy guitar, broken keyboards and animal spirit drumming that should have made this band famous.
