While they aren’t really “local,” we are giving Milwaukee pysch/garage punks The Rashita Joneses a pass and absorbing the band as “one of us.” The group just released a split CS with kindred spirits Filter Free Radio, which you can stream below. The Joneses contribute two songs of damaged, fuzzy, white-knuckled chaos, while FFR are more abstract, creating a sound that is both thick and wiry, If you dig the split, you can see both bands along with Mary Allen & the Percolators and New Wave Hookers tonight at the Turf Club.
