Introducing: Catbath (Undercurrent MPLS Residency TONIGHT!)
Catbath would get props simply for their name and awesome album cover, but it new LP It’s Bathtime is pretty good in its own right. Falling all over the map, from quirky pop to grunge-y riffs to bruised bubblegum garage pop, the nine song LP is a varied and fun musical kaleidoscope. While some bands could lose control because of the everything-and-the-kitchen-sink ideal, Catbath use the variety to make an eminently interesting album that rolls out new surprises with each spin. The trio are heading off on a mini tour, and are kicking it off tonight as part of the final night of the UnderCurrentMPLS residency.
