International Novelty Gamelan: Album Release Tonight
Its not every day that you get an opportunity to hear live Gamelan music. The weird, wonderful, traditional music of Indonesia, requires a lot of setup time, heavy lifting, and delicate, expensive instruments. The Twin Cities just so happens be lucky enough to get Gamelan shows on a semi-regular basis courtesy of our very own International Novelty Gamelan band. They will be celebrating the release of their newly pressed 10″ vinyl record Metalophonia, tonight at Icehouse at 9:30pm and it will be a not-to-be-missed event.
