Introducing: Night Court
Here’s a bit of a mystery band for you. Who is Night Court and where did they come from? According to a recent piece in Factmag, they are a collective out of Minneapolis. Judging by the accompanying picture I definitely see members of Daughters of the Sun/Dead Gurus/various other projects and unless I am mistaken Food Pyramid as well. The band doesn’t have much information available out there (that I can find) but they do have a forthcoming LP coming on Not Not Fun Records. You can play the advance single from it, “Indictment,” below. It’s an epic piece of krautrock/psych that interweaves police procedural samples into a pulsating textures of synths, guitar, beats, and saxophone.
