Stream new EP from Corbin and Bobby Raps (Corbin Show at Eaux Claires Festival This Weekend!)
As half of the rising local noir&B/bleak hip-hop The Stand4rd, Corbin (frmly Spooky Black) and Bobby Raps are already creating lots of buzz, but they decided to branch out and craft a short EP called Couch Potato as a duo. The songs are dark, streamlined and vibrant, much like their other work. Death-focused lyrics mesh with haunted vocals and sparse beats, creating a thumping yet minimalist collection that shows why they are making waves. Stream the EP below and see Corbin this weekend at Eaux Claires fest in Wisconsin, right after his The Stand4rd partner Allan Kingdom. I’m guessing there may be some overlap, and even some special guests, at one or both of these “solo” sets.
