It has been four years since Battles released their solid 2011 LP Gloss Drop, which was four years after their excellent debut Mirrored. Completing the illustrious “3 in 12” cycle, the band are back with their latest project La Di Da Di, a hypnotic collection that highlights the (now) trio locked in on a higher plane, dropping the singing that popped up on their last LP to focus on the kind of breakneck, looped into eternity, forward-thinking dance-rock that puts them in their entire own level.
