A look back at Claps as they are set to perform their last local show for “a while”
We been longtime fans of local trio Claps, dating back to when Guilt Ridden Pop sent us CDR demos of the band (remember CDRs???). Their sleek, Joy Division indebted electronic pop was on point from the start, and they’ve continued to explore the dark corners of the genre over the last number of years on numerous releases and as a staple of the local scene. The group announced, with members moving out of state, that tonight’s show at the 7th Street Entry will be their last local show “in a while.” They promise this isn’t a goodbye, just a “see you later.” They are going out with a bang, supported by a great local lineup of Oaks, Real Numbers and Pale Spectre. Check out past Reviler coverage of the group HERE to either relive the glory or to jump on the bandwagon at literally the last possible moment. Tickets are only $6, so don’t miss this show tonight.
