Local kosmische disciples The Pen Test create a “Chinese Version” of their song “Ze-Zen”
The Pen Test, our local keepers-of-the-Kraftwerk-candle, have decided to extend their reach. Taking the song “Za-Zen” from their 2014 Interstate LP (Moniker Records), they plug in text and lyrics in Mandarin to created a “Chinese Version” of the song, noting the over one billion new listeners they could rope in. I wouldn’t bet the farm that their plan will work, but it is a cool venture and a chance to look back at a solid LP from a group making songs from either the future or 1974 Germany.
