Introducing: String Bikini
String Bikini is Emily Dantuma, a local cellist who performs original works as well as interpretations of Bach suites with the aid of her cello, an amp, and looping pedals. While her tunes are mostly string arrangements, Dantuma also occasionally adds her haunting vocals to the mix. The result is melancholic ambient/neoclassical music, perfectly suited for moody winter weather. For fans of Sarah Neufeld, Julianna Barwick, or really anyone into avant garde and ambient music.
