Dig thumping new electronic tracks from Def Kith, Dosh and Ghostband’s techno project (Release show TONIGHT!)
Dosh and Ghostband should not need any introductions to Minneapolis music fans, and their joint Def Kith is getting to “goes without saying” status as well. The duo are back with a new record on the seminal Anticon label, and it is as adventurous and timeless as you would expect. Def Kith II: The Price is Ill is four tracks of grimy, sharp, melodic and thumping electronic/IDM/techno jams that should be blaring from your record/cassette player this summer. Avoiding anything too glossy, these tracks are burners in all the right ways, with jittery drum patterns coasting beneath hypnotic melodies and lush synths. You can dive into a couple of the tracks below, and buy the album in various formats directly from the label. OR you can see them tearing shit up tonight as they have their release party at Icehouse, with fellow traveler Andrew Broder opening. Either way, don’t sleep on this project.
