Stream Magnetic Ghost’s “Loss Molecules” LP / Release Show Saturday
Magnetic Ghost’s Andy Larson will release his debut LP Loss Molecules this weekend with a show at the Kitty Cat Klub that looks to be fantastic. Not only will favorites Alan Sparhawk (Low), American Cream, and Cult of Lip be playing (in addition to Larson), but the new record itself sounds really good. You can stream the whole thing on Larsen’s webpage. It consists of six weighty tunes, each a slab of moody, highly reverbed, layered guitar, accompanied by Larson’s melancholy vocals and distortion. It’s Loss Molecules was recorded and mixed by Neil Weir at his Blackberry Way studio, and Weir’s done a terrific job making listening to Larson’s record an immersive experience.
