Introducing: The dark electronic pop of Devata Daun (Show tonight feat rare Claps appearance)
Devata Daun makes the kind of dark, chilly electronic music that seems to glisten with sharp edges, but never loses the human touch that helps keep it grounded. The songs range from dark wave ballads to quasi dance tracks with a simmering pulse, wrapped in a minimal blanket and held together with Daun’s hypnotic vocals. You can listen to her tape, released earlier this year by Pytch, and buy it straight from the source. You also can see the songs performed live tonight at Inbound Brewing as part of the Commune MPLS series. The show will also feature the great electronic pop of CLAPS, who we haven’t heard from in a long while. It is free, and will feature art in addition to the music, so it should be a fun time.
