Breakaway continues to impress with solidly weird and multifaceted work

7. Real Numbers – Wordless Wonder
There have honestly been plenty of good local garage rockers. These guys are a cut above.

8. Monica LaPlant – Noir
A relative newcomer on the scene, LaPlant’s sophomore LP is really good.

9. The Blind Shake – Celebrate Your Worth
As usual the best local band in the TC (if not the world) delivers

10. Cactus Blossoms – Your’e Dreaming
These guys are absolutely great at what they do and this is a terrific album
