Local MC Dem Atlas decided to take a run at the beats of songs from indie rap hero MF Doom. You can hear below his rhymes over 13 Doom beats, and decide for yourself if the rising MC does justice to tracks previously graced by a living legend. You also can see deM atlaS tonight at a really cool event at the Parkway Theatre. He will be sharing the stage with Kill The Vultures, Kristoff Krane, Los Nativos & short films by Tomorrow’s Ancestors Speak. The event will be hosted by Maria Isa & Lady Xok. 100% of proceeds from this event are being donated directly to the Sacred Stone Sicangu camp, with the hosts saying that “the immediate goal of proving support for woman and young children committed to camping through the winter.” Great music and a great cause. $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and the event is 21+.
