Introducing: Daylily
Daylily are a relatively new Twin Cities quartet that sprung their fully-formed debut record into our consciousness last Spring Pills. They play a super blissed out psych/shoegaze concoction that fans of Galaxie 500 or the Cocteau Twins will likely find a lot to like about. The band colors outside their influences though, experimenting with a sonic range that goes from heavy noise assault to a lighter-than-a-breeze contact high. The record is pretty impressive, especially given its their first. Hopefully it won’t be the last – I certainly wouldn’t mind hearing what’s to come. You can stream the whole thing below or at their bandcamp page (where you can also purchase).
