Stream great new track “Migraine”from Greg Grease produced by Psymun

Both Greg Grease and Psymun have proven track records as solo artists, but really gained attention over the last 18 months with their side projects (Zuluzuluu and The Standr4d, respectively).  But if you thought that they had lost focus on their original roles (Grease as a lyricist, rapper and songwriting, Psymun as a producer of audio gold beats that stand on their own two feet or as a canvass for rappers that can keep up), you will quickly be corrected with one spin through “Migraine,” a new collab from the two local artists. Smokey but thoughtful, it is an extended take on Grease examining life’s stresses over a soulful but woozy Psymun beat. Over his LP and EPs, Grease has showcased a conversational rapping style that feels like you are eavesdropping him sitting on the steps shooting the shit with an old friend. His technical yet laid back delivery lifts up his strong storytelling ability, resulting in some of the best raps songs over the last few years. It is no surprise that working with a producer like Psymun only adds to that track record.

The two were kind enough to include the instrumental and the audio take on the bandcamp below, so remix away if you think you can add to the track. Not sure if this is a one-off or part of a larger project, but hoping to hear more from these two soon, whether separate or together. Stream and buy the track below from the Sound Verite Records bandcamp page.
