Krautrock legends Can releasing singles collection, hear song previously only on 7″ B-Side
The thing I like best about krautrock legends Can was their complete disregard for being placed in boxes or genres. They burned as deep as groove as their contemporaries, but also had a quirky playful side that some of the other bands of the era seemed to ignore. The band will be releasing collection called The Singles soon, and in anticipation of the album they’ve released a chipper and buoyant “Turtles Have Short Legs” that previously had only been available as a 7′ B-side. While a compilation seems weird for a band as non-tradional as Can — who also have seminal albums that you should already own — it does seem like there will be some nuggets like this song tucked into the 3LP of material (tracklist is below).
