Real Numbers release stone cold classic “Frank Infatuation” on new 7″ (Release show/Tour kick-off TONIGHT!)

This is — by my quick count — the fourth time we’ve done a post featuring the Real Numbers song “Frank Infatuation,” and I feel strangely OK with that. The song is simply that good. This follows some love for the song alone, on the Forged Artifacts Greatest of All Time #1 comp, and on their outstanding 2016 LP Wordless Wonder. Now the song is now getting a run as a standalone 7″ single from Slumberland Records that recently dropped. If somehow you have missed this song up until now, I implore you to change that by playing (and buying) the song from the widget below. In addition to another chance to talk about and listen to “Frank Infatuation,” the b-side of the new single is also charming. A bit more subdued and dreamy, “Leave it Behind” lives up to the bands C86 rep with a languid, jangly track. Listen below and you can catch the local release show/tour kickoff tonight at the 7th Street Entry. It will cost you $7 to see Real Numbers and three other local bands (Finesse, Loud Sun & Bathroom Cig), with music starting at 8:30. Don’t miss it!
