Listen to new jam from local afro-funk revivalists Black Market Brass Band
Local afrofunk band Black Market Brass Band took a break from playing every single block party in Minnesota at some point in 2017 to capture some of their vintage, horn-fueld funk onto wax. You can listen above to the A-side “War Games” from their forthcoming 7″ on Ohio-based label Coalmine Records. The song is as driving and infectious as fans would expect, capturing the deep grooves and high-flying melodies that the group do such of good job of capturing.
