When the world is bestowed with new music from Grouper, it is always a good thing. Liz Harris is one of the very best at creating chilling, atmospheric ambient folk music that works perfectly as a soundtrack to late winter nights. With spring (hopefully) just around the corner, she is a bit late for that purpose for this year, but based on “Parking Lot,” the first track released off her forthcoming Grid of Points LP, it will be another outstanding collection of songs, regardless the time of year.
