Video: “Look No Further” By Suuns
Montreal quartet Suuns have never really crossed my radar other than as a band that I occasionally mistake for Sunn O))) during a fast scan. This single “Look No Further” though makes me think I need to take a closer look. I have been hypnotized for the past few days by the simple yet slightly off-kilter cadence of the song’s beat/synths as well as the casual weirdness of the added field recordings and nonchalant vocals. It’s leftfield in a way I can (and do) appreciate. The band’s record Felt is currently out via Secretly Canadian and you can consider my interest piqued.
