Stream Go For Retro’s New EP, “Eclipses”
A few months back local psych/kraut rockers Go For retro blew us away with their single “Enemy.” They recently released the rest of the Eclipses EP via their Bandcamp page. The EP includes two additional songs and they do not disappoint. Titular “Eclipses” is a hypnotic ascension from deliberately paced kraut groove to a dramatic climax of guitar squalls, howled vocals, and fuzz. “Hooks” builds in a similar fashion, albeit one more gently reached. It’s a more mellow comedown of shimmery guitars and spaced out vocals, set to a consistent and mesmerizing beat.
