Listen to the Dream Pop of Wild Nothing (Show Tomorrow!)
We’ve been longtime Wild Nothing fans here at Reviler all the way back to the debut album Gemini. Wild Nothing’s 4th album Indigo dropped a couple of months ago and continues on a much grander scale. Mastermind Jack Tatum moved from Brooklyn to LA before this album and assembled a full band to record Indigo after recording most previous material himself. Producer Jorge Elbrecht who is responsible for bringing other formerly lofi acts like Ariel Pink into much glossier studio territory helps Indigo burst with 80s dream pop vibes. Album opener “Letting Go” bursts right out of the gate and sets the album’s template with chiming guitar, synths and big open choruses. Give the video a watch and check out the rest of the album. Wild Nothing will be joined by the excellent Men I Trust for a can’t miss Wednesday night at the Cedar.
