Video: Greta Ruth’s “Sweet Pace”
Local experimental folk singer/songwriter Greta Ruth will release a 4 track EP this Fall. Ruth’s first tune from it “Sweet Pace” is available via the accompanied video which stars the singer on vintage Super 8 film.
It’s a brief tune, a free floating wander through spare guitar chords and finger plucking with Ruth singing cryptic and melancholy lyricism. Fans of artists who take an eclectic approach to folk (Josephine Foster or Diane Cluck for instance) might be intrigued – though we’ll have to wait for the rest of Ruth’s material to get a more full picture. We’re looking forward to doing so!
