Listen to Songs Off New Blaha ‘Survival Climb’ Tape (Black Friday release show!)
Mike Blaha just won’t let the fuzzy punk sound that his former(?) band The Blind Shake helped scorch into the eardrums of music fans over the last decade fade away. His latest effort — under the Blaha flag, with bass, drums & another guitar player rounding out the sound — is out today on No Coast Records (WI garage champ Bobby Hussy’s label). It’s as scuzzy and delirious as we’ve come to expect, at least from the first couple of songs offered up. You can listen to those tracks from the tape via the widget below and snatch up a copy of the limited run of cassettes for this release from the same Bandcamp page. If you want to shake off some of the six billion calories you ate yesterday, the record release show is tonight at the 7th St. Entry with local assists from CYSTERS and Tongue Party.
