Stream new EP from local shoegaze punks Another Heaven (Release show TONIGHT!)
On their second release FOR EVER FOR EVER FOR EVER FOR EVER FOR EVER FOR EVER, local group Another Heaven continue to create richly melodic post-punk, even if it is often buried under a fuzzy fog of crackling noise. Sometimes they sound like a slowed down Nirvana, sometimes like they were mixing the spacious melodies Yo La Tengo and the sonic architecture of Spaceman 3. It’s a fun, balanced album that leaves the listener wanting even more exploration of their dark-yet-anthemic sound. This is one of those albums that has an entire universe of sound that helps to make the album whole, but you could imagine all of these songs being re-created acoustically in a stripped down setting.
Listen below to the six song EP. If you dig what you hear you can buy the record from the bandcamp link or in person while helping the band celebrate their new release tonight (Sat 12/22) at the Kitty Cat Klub in Minneapolis. Tickets are only $5 and the show features a great opening lineup of Nallo and Alpha Consumer. Info/RSVP HERE.
