Stream Good Doom’s “Mood Life”
This is the time of the year when I start discovering all of the great prior year music that I somehow missed. Case in point, somehow Good Doom (who are shaping up to be one of my favorite local bands) released an album in late 2018 that flew completely under my radar. Mood Life is a five track cassette release that was made available last October. You can stream the whole thing below or over at the band’s bandcamp page.
The new tunes very much demonstrate a band that has the ability to traverse wide varieties of style and bring them under their own roof. Mood Life incorporates world music elements, trip hop beats, lo fi bedroom pop, krautrock, and noise, amongst other varied genres. And they integrate them all seamlessly into their unique, very chill, dreamy sound.
