Listen to Unreleased Townes Van Zandt Track “All I Need”
On March 7 Fat Possum Records will be releasing a compilation of previously unreleased Townes Van Zandt tunes. Sky Blue will contain unheard recordings of old favorites (like “Pancho and Lefty”) as well as some new tunes that haven’t yet seen the light of day. One of those is “All I Need” which you can stream above – an excellent, if short, example of Van Zandt’s beautiful melancholic songwriting. It’s also presented in a live style, free of heavy-handed studio gimmickry (which unfortunately plagued some Van Zandt records).
