New Local Supergroup Champagne Confetti and NOW Ensemble Debut next Week

It’s always interesting to hear what talented local vocalist Aby Wolf is up to – whether she’s working with one of many frequent collaborators (Dessa/Doomtree, JT Bates, Chastity Brown, and more) or doing her solo thing.
The latest news is a pretty big deal – Wolf (along with another frequent collaborator Eric Mayson) has taken the helm of a supergroup that consists of….(takes a deep breath)…Joey Van Phillips, members of Nooky Jones, Fort Wilson Riot, Zeitgeist New Music, Finish folk duo AALLOTAR, Laurels String Quartet, and more!
The group is ALSO teaming up with renowned artists the NOW Ensemble to collaboratively present a project called Champagne Confetti. They don’t have much recorded material yet, but will debut their music live this weekend at the Parkway Theater on April 13 (info/tix). You can stream the band’s video above which sounds like a delicious concoction of pop and chamber music.
This should be a very special evening of music – and assuming they all fit onstage, the Parkway should be a cool and unique venue to witness it in.
