Listen to live improve set from Minneapolis experimental groups IE and Lonefront
A few weeks back at the CASSETTE, a monthly show at Honey in Northeast Minneapolis, Lonefront (on modular synths) & IE (keyboards and horns) came together for a live collaborative set. Luckily for those of us who wanted to check it out but couldn’t make it, the set was captured and recently released on Mixcloud so we can all dive into their sonic exploration.
The set clocks in at just under 50 minutes, and runs the gamut from deconstructed, minimalist noise to some points where the groove is deep and pervasive. It is an entertaining set that warrants repeated listens to capture all that is going on. Check it out below.
