Show Announcement: Blind Adam & the Federal League (Chi) @ Palmer’s Friday, May 10th
Chicago punk’n’roll quartet Blind Adam & the Federal League will be bringing their sing-along protest songs to Palmer’s Bar tomorrow, May 10th (that boss-ass poster on the front page comes courtesy of Will Bennett, btw).
Packing more than just meat into their sound, BA&theFL make three chords and the truth mean something again with songs like “How Do They Sleep At Night” and “Another Lonely Weekend”. Their self-titled debut long-player, released last year on Friskie Morris and Friends Records, ebbs and flows like a conversation with an old friend–sometimes bristled, sometimes tender, always earnest.
WIth the release of a new EP, Mansions on the Boulevard, the League are finishing up a quick Midwest tour to get their word in the streets. Tomorrow at Palmer’s they and fellow tour-mates Will Bennett and the Tells will be joined by local rockers Petty Larcenists, Loss Leader, and Braver. The fun starts at 8:00 PM, people, so be ready.
Until then, enjoy this kick-ass video for this kick-ass song about family, war, and baseball!
