Introducing: Celica (Unique Show Thursday!)

Sho Nikaido has done a lot over the years, from raging punk (Sweet JAP) to minimal dance (Mute Era) to synth and sax driven post-punk (Seated Heat). With Celica, his solo project, he’s been creating something new and unique.
Bouquet For The Sunset U’ve Never Seen is Celica’s vinyl debut, released by Nikaido’s own Seated Heat Records. Completely performed and recorded in his bedroom, Bouquet runs from hushed psych-folk to electronic beats through a hazy lo-fi lens. The record also includes a newsprint zine of photographs to accompany the record (you might recognize the cover of Sweet JAP’s album released last year).
Celica meets Butoh will combine live music with a Butoh dance performance by McKnight Theater Artist Fellow Masanari Kawahara. Celica also will be debuting a music video. Don’t miss this unique performance.
