Double Grave Explore Fuzzy Doom Pop on New “ego death forever” CS (Release show TONIGHT!)
Fuzzy guitars can often be used in a menacing way, but local group Double Grave have spent the last few years, under various names, exploring how fuzzy guitar rock can be a blanket for gloomy pop and shoegaze. On their latest effort, the “ego death forever” CS out now on Forged Artifacts, the band flex their muscle over six tightly wound, melodic and heavy tracks that feel somber without being a bummer. It is smart music that also has some teeth and texture.
