Crescent Moon + Big Trouble Return With 3-Song EP

After about 45 years (or at least 10), local indie rap group Crescent Moon + Big Trouble are back on the scene. Following 2009’s outstanding self titled release (on Afternoon Records), the group decided to come together and record a new mini-album of songs that have come together in the time since they released their last record. Fans of Crescent Moon will recognize at least one song, the opener “Palms Up,” which he released on his collaborative CS with Andrew Broder a few years back (check it out if you missed it, it’s amazing).

The three songs bring together Alexei Casselle’s searing rhymes with the angular indie rock of Big Trouble, and it is a welcome return if you liked their debut. You can stream/buy the 3-song record below. No news on shows, but after a half-decade of sporadic gigs, hopefully this means we’ll be seeing them more regularly on stage.
